Got a call from someone saying they were from BT Accounts and that I was owed a £31 refund on my phone bill. Since I pay via Direct Debit, I immediately thought it was dodgy, because BT would just put any refund straight back onto my bill, not call me about it. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Someone keeps ringing me up saying they’re from BT Accounts, but I’ve never even had an account with them. They call me like three or four times every week, it’s really annoying!

What a pain this caller is! I was away earlier so didn’t pick up, and usually when I do, there’s no one on the other end. Wish I had caller ID to see who it was!

Had a call from someone saying they were with BT, offering me three months free line rental. They asked to confirm my phone number and then my postcode. I told them I wanted the full offer details sent over so I could have a proper look before making a decision. They said they’d only send the info once I'd agreed on the call. When I tried to say I wasn’t comfortable agreeing without seeing everything in writing first, they just cut me off.
