I quickly realised it was a scam 'cause I’ve never had life insurance in my life. So, I just made up some rubbish answers when they asked questions and told 'em I couldn’t provide what they wanted. They mentioned they'd ring again later.

Didn’t answer but it’s clear a scam from the comments. Looks like it’s one of those insurance scams or something similar. I reckon you should just block, especially if they start asking for cash to "help" you get more money. Could be risky.

I ended up leaving the call going and after a bit, they just hung up on me. Total scam.

Got calls from some dodgy lot saying they was from “meh life” insurance. I asked for their company name, which branch they were calling from, plus their name and their FCA number. They didn’t want to tell me any of it and just slammed the phone down. I rang them back about ten times just for a laugh, and different people kept picking up each time. Definitely a big time scam going on there!

I strongly recommend steering clear of sharing any details about your life insurance policy with this individual. I've got several compelling reasons to suspect that he's merely after your personal information, based on my past encounters with him.

A call came through claiming to be from my life insurance company. When I asked a few questions, the caller got defensive. In the end, I told him I wasn’t here to answer some endless cross-examination. Let’s just say I politely told him to take a hike.
