I’m on the TPS so this really shouldn’t be happening, but guess they don’t bother checking it. It’s supposed to stop these calls! I’ve blocked the number now after seeing this, but honestly, I don’t know anyone in Cardiff nor am I interested in loft insulation. No way I’m giving my time to cold callers who never got my okay to ring. I’ll be asking Vodafone how they gave out my phone number in the first place.

I wouldn't bother with spray foam in lofts, honestly. They usually spray it all over the rafters and the sarking, and if it ends up stuck to the underside of the roof slates, fixing anything later on becomes a proper nightmare. Not worth the trouble at all!

A woman called claiming she was from a loft insulation agency, offering free inspections to ensure the loft insulation complies with the latest legal safety standards. I explained that I live in housing association property and would need to consult them first, as I’m cautious about letting strangers in, especially since I’m in a vulnerable group after having had COVID. She was pretty persistent, insisting this was a government initiative and said some types of insulation can cause lung problems nowadays. Eventually, it got a bit much and I just ended the call.

Had a call earlier, someone pretending to be from the "British Insulation Council." They claimed my fibreglass attic insulation could cause irritation. (Well, no kidding, right?) Then they tried to sell me a free survey and mentioned some grant for replacing it. Honestly, I just said no and hung up. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call saying they were from SSE, my energy supplier. The guy first just said "Mr J", then started using my actual name. He said SSE don’t take meter readings any more and asked if I’d given one in the past 10 weeks. I’m pretty sure they’d already know that if I had. I’ve seen this number pop up before, usually either pushing smart meters or trying to fish for my bank details - or maybe both. Feels dodgy to me.
