Reports on phone number 02922715982
4 yearsReceived a call from the number (029 22715982) earlier today at 09:13, claiming to represent Vodafone. They were offering me a rather enticing 30% off my mobile bill. They asked me to verify my monthly payment, which I did using a fictitious amount to see what would happen. Surprise, surprise, they accepted it as correct and informed me I qualified for the discount. Then, they wanted me to confirm my full name to proceed with the supposed discount. At that moment, I pointed out that they hadn’t provided any credentials to authenticate their identity. I expressed my concerns about not knowing who they were or where the call originated, mentioning that I had given them a fabricated figure, yet they insisted it was accurate before abruptly ending the call. When I attempted to return the call, I got a message stating it belonged to a company called DCT, but then an automated voice informed me that the office was closed, which was quite curious considering they had just rung me!VodafoneDCT4 yearsBlimey, these people have a ridiculous amount of phone numbers and they're relentless, inundating you with calls from four, five, sometimes even six different digits, one after the other! They're nothing but charlatans, attempting to worm their way into your bank details under the pretext of just needing you to confirm a transaction. Just a heads-up, your bank will never authorise a payment without your explicit consent. So if you ever get a text from your bank containing a code and someone tries to get it out of you, just hang up and delete the message post-haste. That code is purely for your eyes only! These scammers target those who are more easily duped, ransacking their finances and leaving them in dire straits. And for those who are a bit more clued-up, it’s wise to keep an eye on family, neighbours, and mates who might not be as savvy.4 yearsI'm constantly receiving random calls from this number, and it's really starting to get on my nerves!4 yearsI had no clue who was calling, so I decided to let it ring. They didn't bother leaving a message either.4 yearsI recently received a phone call from this very number, with the caller asserting they were from Currys PC World. I decided not to engage any further and promptly hung up.Currys PC World4 yearsI’ve just ended a call that I think might have been junk.4 yearsI haven't the foggiest who could be calling me from Cardiff. It’s likely some dodgy spammer, so I've gone ahead and blocked and reported the number.CardiffSubmit Your Own Report (029 2271 5982)
