I reckon it was that courteous chap with an Indian accent who always starts off with, "How's your day going?" Quite clearly a scam, so I told him, "Cheers, but I'm not interested." Hung up as I usually do.

I let the phone ring rather than pick it up since the number was unfamiliar to me. It raised a red flag, and I assumed it was likely a nuisance call. A quick search online confirmed my suspicion, so I’m glad I chose to pass on answering.

I had a rather peculiar call from a lady claiming to be representing EE, and she offered me a rather enticing 35% reduction on my bills or a shiny new phone. When she inquired about what device I currently owned, I told her I wasn’t quite sure and that she ought to have that detail at her fingertips. She insisted it was all part of some security protocol and wanted to transfer me to a manager. It all seemed fishy, so I ended the conversation right then and there. Definitely a scam!

I had a rather peculiar experience recently. An Indian gentleman from Three contacted me, offering a rather tempting 40% discount on my bill. He requested my name, despite me mentioning that Three already had all my information on file. Shortly after, I received a text message containing a pin number which he asked me to relay back to him. He promised to ring me again later. Not long after, I received a call from an Indian woman based in Northern Ireland, using the number 028 8212 3985. She proceeded to inquire about further personal details, such as my date of birth and address, claiming it was necessary to “activate” the discount I had been promised. I found her approach rather forceful and ultimately chose to end the conversation. Quite the experience, I must say!

Received a call from this number a moment ago. Prior to picking up, I decided to do a little investigation here. I’m currently with Vodafone, but honestly, I don’t have any dealings with them lately that would warrant a call, especially since I don’t consent to receiving voice calls. Pleased I looked into it beforehand!

I'm beginning to think that this number might be just another one of those 028 or 029 VoIP-related calls. Interestingly enough, I've only started receiving these calls after I registered with Lebara Mobile and Temu. It makes me wonder if my details have somehow been compromised and sold off, just like those scandals we’ve seen on television.
