Scam alert! Some guy with a thick Indian accent and terrible English called, said he was from "my phone company" but couldn’t even say which one. Then he went on about me being hacked, what a joke. I just blocked him straight away.

Received a dubious call purporting to be from O2, stating that they were offering a discount of half price for a year to valued customers. They even went so far as to send a code via O2 UK and requested I share it. I know better than to pass along codes or personal details to strangers. I contacted O2 directly to report the number, and they assured me they'd look into it and have security investigate the matter. If you happen to get a call from this number, I highly recommend reaching out to your mobile provider to report it as well. It’s obviously a blatant scam.

A guy with an Asian accent called me sayin I get 30% off my O2 bills (sounded way too good to be true). He asked me for my street name and I gave it, then he said he couldn’t find me. After that he wanted the last 4 digits of my bank account I use to pay O2 so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from 029 2264 3129, supposedly from Cardiff. The lady claimed she was from EE, but something felt off: a) She didn't sound sure of herself at all b) Kept addressing me as 'Ma'am' with that typical call centre tone c) Loads of noise in the background so hard to hear properly d) As soon as I said I suspected it was a scam, she just dropped the call I'm pretty certain this is another scam number. Be careful!

Got a call but no caller ID showed up, so I just blocked it. I never pick up numbers I don’t know unless I check who it is first. All my mates know this rule and will send a message if I don’t return their call, and they always text me if they switch numbers.
