2 yearsReceived a call purporting to be from the legal department of Aviva car insurance. However, it was clearly not legitimate, so I decided to end the conversation.Aviva2 yearsRang me up claiming they knew I'd been in a no-fault accident. I decided to hang up on them.2 yearsThis morning at 9:15 AM on the 31st of January, I opted not to pick up a call from Cardiff. Popped onto this site afterward and spotted a flurry of comments about it. Immense gratitude to everyone for sharing your experiences! I’ve made up my mind to block that number now.Cardiff2 yearsThis appears to be a fraudulent operation. The same individuals seem to be calling from various phone numbers. If you don’t recognise the caller, it’s best to ignore and block the number.2 yearsPicked up the call, and there was a cacophony of voices in the backdrop. A chap was attempting to converse on the line, but the words were rather muddled; I couldn’t quite catch what he was on about. After about ten seconds of me not engaging, he simply disconnected.2 yearsSame here!2 yearsReceived a call claiming to be from Aviva, regarding a recent accident I’d been involved in. This bloke dropped the term ‘MIB’ in an attempt to sound more convincing. It was tricky to make out what he was saying due to a fair bit of background racket. He inquired whether I was expecting any compensation from the incident where I was supposedly the victim. I clarified that I was, in fact, the one in the wrong, but he completely misheard me and thought I said ‘spam’, so he tried to clarify the situation. He insisted he represented the third-party insurance-this time he mentioned Admiral-and claimed the driver had confessed to being at fault. When I reiterated my responsibility in the matter, he just kept rambling. I then asked him when this alleged accident took place, and he gave me some vague answer about ‘last year’. When I pressed for a specific date, he awkwardly claimed he ‘wasn’t permitted’ to provide that info. After calling him out on the potential spam nature of the call, suggesting he didn’t even know, he promptly hung up.Aviva2 yearsJust had a rather cheeky call from a chap claiming to be from Aviva Insurance. I could tell straight away it was dodgy, so when I told him I hadn’t had any mishap, he boldly called me a liar! How cheeky is that? These scammers seem to be getting more brazen by the day! I calmly said, “Hold on a moment while I record this call,” and wouldn’t you know it, he promptly cut the line. Quite the nerve, I must say! Is there any way we can get this number blacklisted?
