I've had to block three different numbers already, yet this same woman keeps trying to get through. I've taken to just letting her call and not answering. She certainly is tenacious, but rather dim-witted, as she keeps going on about how we supposedly came to some new phone deal recently. Unbelievably relentless, yet rather foolish!

I usually dont pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. I like to look them up on here first before deciding to answer.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was with Vodaphone, saying I was eligible for some sort of discount. He asked me to confirm I was the account holder and then tried to get me to answer some security questions, which I refused to do. I told him if the contract really qualified, they should just go ahead and apply the discount without all the hassle. Then they just ended the call.

Somebody called saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill because my contract was about to end. I said I’d prefer to contact O2 directly, and then he started getting annoyed, saying I’m on the call already so why not sort it now. When I told him I was actually switching providers, he just cut me off.

An Asian woman contacted me claiming to be from Curry’s PC World, offering a new iPhone 15 for just £25 a month. I mentioned that I’d fetch the details of my phone contract, leaving her on the line while I went off to tackle some ironing. She seemed to hang around for a fair while. I ended up blocking her number, but not long after, she tried reaching me from a different number. Received a call from someone purporting to be from Vodafone, asking about my monthly payment to verify my account. I mentioned £200, and she promptly offered a 40% discount. I straightaway told her where to go, as it was clearly a scam. If she were genuinely with Vodafone, she’d have realised that saying I paid £200 a month was complete nonsense.
