Then, quite oddly, they wanted me to confirm that I was indeed the account holder and who pays the bills. After that, they probed for the email address linked to my account. I conveyed my unease with that request. The chap tried to press me once more, but I reiterated my stance, mentioning that it was them who had called me, and I couldn’t be certain they were truly from Vodafone. The call ended with him promising to ring back later. It's worth noting that these calls have only just begun today, and they’re pretending to represent various companies like Vodafone, Currys, and so on - it’s clearly a total scam... despicable people, really. They ought to find themselves a proper job!
