It was quite unsettling to hear them mention her like that. This week alone they’ve called me five times, and roughly every few months I get the same calls. Yesterday’s caller was really rude, using my first name in a snide way and telling me to “listen up” like I’m daft. I kept saying I just want to be removed and that I already answered their questions three times this year, but the bloke insisted they needed to update their records and that I hadn’t done it before. When I wouldn’t give out personal stuff like my address or age, the caller said they were doing me a favour and I should be grateful, otherwise I’d keep getting calls. I said I wasn’t answering any more and gave no permission to contact me again, and then they started swearing at me, saying “fuck you” repeatedly. Charming, right? I honestly don’t know who Beneficial are, but this definitely isn’t about removing me from marketing lists. I reckon they’re trying to get info to spam me with junk mail. After yesterday, I’ve reported them to the authorities. Avoid these guys.
