Like a few others here, I was trying to see on the TSP site if my home phone and mobile were still listed because I started getting annoying calls on my mobile. Guess I ended up on the wrong site or something, as the lady told me TSP wasn’t available for me and wanted £49 once-off to make the calls stop. I told her no way, I’d rather block the numbers myself. Since then, they’ve rung me three times and left missed calls. Just found out I can block the last caller free on my landline with TalkTalk, so no need to pay anything!

Absolutely! I can relate to that. Just last week, I lodged a complaint about pesky calls. Honestly, I didn't foresee that it would lead to an influx of them! I decided to investigate the situation further and signed up for what I believed to be a complimentary service. To my dismay, she recently received a call from a number claiming to notice her struggle with unwanted international calls. They offered to assist her, but only if she coughed up £49.99 for a new service. Receiving a fraught call from a genuinely distressed mother is certainly not how I wish to spend my day! I just received a call from this number, under the impression it was a complimentary service to help curb unwanted calls. However, it turns out they were looking for a charge of £49 along with my banking information. When I explained that I’m a pensioner and simply can’t manage that expense, they immediately disconnected the line. The person on the other end seemed to have a mixture of a Welsh and Asian accent.
