Proper annoyance this is. They ring me loads of times each day from different Welsh numbers. I’ve blocked a bunch, but they’ve clearly got heaps of numbers they’re using to keep calling. Think once they’ve used them all up, they might give it a rest. I even sent them a message asking what’s the point but no reply at all. Honestly, it’s driving me mad. Best not to pick up when they call, trust me.

It was just Eon calling saying ‘please don't go’. I never picked up, just looked up the number here. I've recently switched from Eon to Scottish and Southern, and their prices are way better. I moved over to Eon a few months back and got a couple of letters about fitting a smart meter. Never got back to them though, cos I’m waiting for the newer Mark 2 ones to come out instead. Heard the Mark 1 meters can cause loads of trouble if they mess up and sometimes they record wrongly, then your energy company won’t trust you and might take too much out of your direct debit. So I reckon this call might be them ringing to sort out the smart meter installation.
