Got a call from someone claiming they were sorting out my McAfee account. When I started asking stuff only McAfee or me would know, they just hung up on me. Definitely one of those McAfee scams.

I got a call from someone saying they were from McAfee and that they were calling from Cardiff. She told me my account was frozen and since I only had a basic plan, she wanted to offer me a refund before charging me £179 for a five-year subscription. From what I know, McAfee doesn't operate out of Cardiff at all, so this smelt like a total scam. Just a heads up to everyone!
