Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, talking about something to do with TPS. I played along and said, "So, you want my bank details so you can scam me, right?" He asked if I knew who he was, and I just told him straight, "Yeah, an online scammer. There’s loads of warnings about you lot online." Then he said he’d cancel my TPS and wished me a good day. They’d rung me about five times in a few hours, but that was the first time I picked up.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent working in what sounded like a hectic call centre. He claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I’d been bothered by any nuisance calls. I’m well aware it’s a scam - they want you to give bank details to charge you for a service you don’t need. So I replied, “No, no problems here, all’s good.” He must’ve stumbled over his script because he just hung up straight away. That number’s definitely on my block list now.

The person asked if my partner was around. I told them she wasn’t free right now and asked if I could pass on a message. Then they asked if I was a family member, which made me raise an eyebrow. There was a lot of background noise too, not like a normal call at all. Feeling a bit suspicious, I just ended the call pretty quickly. Maybe I was a bit abrupt, but it didn't feel right.

In one of the messages, an automated voice mentioned that my IP address was undergoing changes, emphasizing its significance. Today, for a change, I chose to answer the call and found myself speaking with an extremely persistent woman who claimed to be from Nuisance Calling. Surprisingly, she requested that I update the expiration date of my debit card. Since I had no prior dealings with them, I informed her that I was not prepared to discuss anything further. This declaration seemed to infuriate her, prompting me to firmly instruct her not to call again before hanging up. Now, I can only hope that the incessant calls finally cease.
