Absolute scammers on the phone, just ignore them and block the number!

I’m utterly fed up with these numpties constantly pestering me from various numbers every single day.

A pack of so-called investment advisers, really! They hang up at the mere sight of their phone ringing. Trust me, they're not even worth the few minutes you'd spend having a chuckle at their expense!

I keep getting calls from this number on a daily basis, and honestly, it's quite bothersome.

What a childish and annoying person!

The caller was pretty rude and didn't bother to tell me who they were representing. They kept calling me by the wrong name and got really annoyed when I asked how they even had my number. They were pushing so much that I just ended up hanging up on them.

Absolutely overzealous. Quite rude, if I do say so myself. These pushy investment peddlers, all hyped up on Baldwin’s ABC method, are truly a sight to behold. It’s a bit of a laugh if you hold the upper hand. Just outsmart them with your own tactics and they’ll be left reeling. Before you know it, they’ll be disconnecting faster than you can blink!

Some company named Tradview kept ringing me up. I ask them to take my number off their list and block the calls, but it just seems to make them call even more! It's really frustrating.

I had to endure about 20 minutes explaining that they’re definitely not the TPS and I wasn’t handing over any of my bank info. Eventually, they threatened to switch off the call blocking on my landline if I didn’t comply. They kept pushing and wouldn’t accept a simple no. Then I got patched through to a supervisor. All of them spoke with Indian accents. They were trying to get my sort code to "verify" that I owned the phone number. Honestly, it’s worrying to think what might happen if someone more vulnerable answered their calls.

Got about 11 rings from this number today - seriously, BT Call Guardian saved me from constant interruptions!

Had a call from a bloke who said he was from the TPS, sounded Asian. After that, I kept getting calls but they just hung up as soon as I picked up.

I’ve had a few calls from this number, but each time I answer, all I get is a weird beep and then the line goes dead.

Got called six times today, but every time I picked up and it went to answerphone, the caller just hung up straight away.

I’ve had this number ringing me about ten times today, but luckily BT call guardian stops me from answering. The first time I tried to ring it back, a message came up saying the number isn’t active, so I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam.

Honestly, the real frustration should be aimed at whoever is handing out these phone numbers to the scammers and dodgy characters who’re on them for only a short time - days, weeks, maybe a few months at best. You’d think SOMEONE in charge would notice how often these numbers get abused, especially since a lot of these calls come from places like India or other parts of Asia, so maybe the numbers are even registered overseas. It’s just baffling they don’t clamp down on it more.

Been getting calls from this number like three times just in the last sixty minutes.

Can't tell what's worse, the dead air or the fact this number keeps buzzing me with silence. Pretty sure it's just some scammer having a laugh.

I've received four calls from this number today, yet there was absolutely no response on the other end. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

Seems like nobody, just like loads of times before, the call ends as soon as it hits the answerphone, so I don’t get a clue who it is. Honestly, it’s just a bit annoying up to now.

Somebody said they were with TPS and even knew an old postcode, but it just didn’t seem right. I’m thinking of blocking the number now.

Got a few calls from this number. A guy with an Asian accent said I’m signed up with the TPS and knew my name and where I live. Then he asked me to verify the expiry date on my debit card. When I said I didn’t have it nearby, he said he’d wait for me to find it. I told him to stop calling and ended the call. Feels pretty fishy to me, watch out!

Got calls from that number about 8 times in just a couple hours. I just kept not answering. Hopefully they stop bugging me soon.

I got a call from this number and the person actually knew my full name and where I lived. The bloke with an Asian accent asked for the expiry on my debit card. Then he started asking if I was under 80 years old or not. Once he wanted the card expiry, I just hung up straight away. Watch out folks, this is definitely a scam!

Got one of those calls again, someone asking for my bank details. They reckon every Brit is daft I suppose. Maybe we are? Best just to ignore these calls altogether.

This number kept ringing us loads of times throughout the afternoon. We picked up once but no one spoke, just silence. They kept calling and then hanging up. Eventually, fed up, we put our answerphone on to deal with the later calls. Honestly, it was so frustrating because with how often they kept ringing, we started worrying it was something serious. Really relieved we never actually spoke to anyone in the end!

In the past hour, this number rang my phone three times. Cheers for the useful info from everyone. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

Absolute tossers, honestly.

The phone just went dead after total silence on the other side. These calls are driving me mad, so I've decided to take a long holiday to get away from it all.

I got a call from a bloke speaking with a strong Asian accent. He was aware that I’m on the TPS list and tried to sell me an upgraded call blocking service. He asked me to verify when my Direct Debit card was due to expire, but once I didn’t give him the info, he just cut me off. Oddly, he also asked if I was younger than 75, so maybe they’ve got some sort of ethics after all!

this bloke called saying he was from the telephone preference service and wanted to know if i'd been getting marketing calls. he asked for my name and address without explaining why and then tried to get me to say my debit card expiry date. that's when i told him i wasn’t interested and hung up.

I got a call from this number earlier, but it just kept ringing nonstop. After a while, my answerphone kicked in and a recorded woman’s voice said “thank you.” I’m pretty sure it was some sort of automated call centre. I've gone ahead and blocked the number on my BT line now.

Don't trust the so-called telephone preference service, it's rubbish. They keep calling me on various numbers no matter what. Just block and ignore them.

I could tell straight away who it was so I just ignored the call. These TPS scammers keep ringing from different numbers, I usually get at least 4 calls daily from them. I keep blocking them but they just dont give up. Honestly, they’re really annoying and it’s high time the authorities did something to stop these cheats from pestering people all over Britain.

i got a call from someone asking me to confirm the reference number on my direct debit card linked to my name. since it involved my bank details, i instantly felt suspicious about the authenticity of the call. so yeah, i decided to block and add that number to my blacklist straightaway.

Got a call from someone claiming they could block unwanted calls for me, sounded fishy to me. Turned out to be one of those typical Asian scam calls, trying to trick you into paying for a dodgy service. Watch out for these sneaky scams!
