This was definitely a dodgy call.

Seriously, just block this number already! I keep getting calls from some pushy lady about insurance. How many times do I gotta say I’m not interested, especially life insurance? Like, I’m not dead yet, so why bother?!

Got a call from 02920958724, but I didn't pick up. I don't have any appliance insurance and don't want it either. I'm on the TPS list, so these calls are just annoying and feel like harassment.

Got a recorded call about home appliances, said they'd ring me back tomorrow. Pretty sure it's a scam, so don't share any details with them.

Got a call saying my missus had signed up for some home appliance insurance, using her name and everything. Definitely a scam though.

It’s always the same lady, calling from slightly different but connected numbers. I’ve gone ahead and listed her as a personal nuisance now, and the police cyber unit have taken an interest. Just make sure to block any number she rings from - the more she switches up, the simpler it is for them to pin her down!

I've been receiving calls multiple times each week from someone who keeps leaving messages intended for a chap named Richie, all about insurance coverage.

I keep getting calls from these people, it’s so annoying. On Friday, they phoned me and I told them I’ve never signed up for any insurance with Domestic Insurance. The guy on the phone said I supposedly paid £589 last November, but that’s totally untrue. Seriously, someone needs to put an end to this.

This is definitely a SCAM! If you’re getting dodgy calls like this, you should report them. Just pop onto ‘action fraud’ via Google and head to the police.uk website. Find the page for reporting phishing messages and give it a read to see what to do. Then enter all the details about the scam into their system, including any web addresses or links you’ve been sent. You don’t need to sign up or share any personal info to do this. Reporting is really important so the police can get a better grip on how widespread these scams are.

Got calls from 02920958720 and 02920958721, both with the same automated voicemail about home appliances. Luckily BT blocked one of them for me. What a nuisance!

Got a recorded message from 02920958724 saying they were a recruitment agency and we could call them back or expect another call tomorrow. Honestly, it sounded dodgy to me - definitely feels like a scam. These people are just scammers, no way I’m falling for it!

Got a call from this number, 02920958724, and some guy with a foreign accent said his name was Harry. He was trying to sell us some kind of home appliance insurance renewal, which we've never even signed up for! Pretty clear this was either a scam or just an annoying nuisance call.

I've received a second call from this outfit now. They were asking for my bank information to process a payment. I questioned them about the fact that they should already have my banking details since I'm covered with insurance for my appliance. They mentioned they'd ring me back once they'd verified the information, and then just abruptly ended the call. My current insurance is a mere £3 a month, but they were trying to charge me an astonishing £300!

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent asking for Miss xxxxxx. They claimed it was about my appliance insurance, but I don’t even have one. My partner, who used to be a football ref, grabbed his whistle and gave it a good blow down the phone. Fingers crossed that’ll stop them ringing me back!

Total scams!!! I sort all my insurance stuff directly with my bank, so these so-called "people" (not sure calling them that is fair) are just a nightmare. They seriously need to be put to an end. I wish someone smart could figure out a way to fix this mess. It’s so tough for vulnerable folks to dodge these scams nowadays.

Those appliance insurance calls are a right nightmare. I just tell them to bugger off because they’re nothing but nuisances. These shady companies are just preying on honest people who’re trying to get by. They don’t deserve a second of your attention or any sort of respect, honestly.

Looks like they might give it another go tomorrow but with a different number, so I'm just gonna block any that start with 999.

Got a message from some appliance warranty company, an English voice said they’d ring back the next day. Problem is, we ain’t got any cover with them and only pick up calls from numbers we know. We registered with the TPS, but I reckon it only stops calls from firms that’ve joined their code of conduct. Bit annoying really!

Got a recorded message on my answering machine from a woman speaking in a British accent, who said my first name before mentioning a quick chat about home appliance cover and that she’d try calling back the next day. I’ve had calls like this from about 7 different numbers too: 01315690018, 01315690029, 01315690035, 01382752021, 02920958708, 02920958719 and 02920958721. Got calls from the same number three times in just 5 minutes, pretty much like yesterday. It was some dodgy scam about domestic and general appliance insurance, saying I hadn’t made a claim so I could get a discount. They wanted my bank details for a new direct debit, really pushy this time. Didn’t pick up any of the calls.

Got a call this morning just after 9 from a woman saying she was with Domestic & General appliance insurance, like the usual scam calls. She rattled off three appliances supposedly up for renewal. Sounded legit at first, but then she mentioned my cooker, which threw me off. Asked her what brand she thought my appliances were, and she guessed Hotpoint, that common lot. But my cooker’s a Belling, nothing to do with Hotpoint. Told her she was messing about and to leave me alone. Ended the call and blocked the number quick smart.

If it’s an actual person and not just some robot scammer, I usually just blow a really loud whistle into the phone before hanging up. I get these annoying calls all the time, so it’s my little way of getting back at them. Dunno if it does anything, but it makes me chuckle for a bit afterwards.

Today I got a call from this number about renewing my kitchen appliance insurance. The guy on the phone said it was from Domestic & General, but I’m not even signed up with them. So I rang D&G using the number from their official website, and they told me it’s definitely a scam. I’ve been getting loads of calls like this for about a month, blocking the numbers as they come, but they always just switch to a new one. The scam number is 02920 958 724.
