Got a call earlier, they used my name and claimed I had an insurance rebate waiting. Asked if I could verify some details. I replied with my typical confirmation phrase. Just two words really.

My landline got a ring from this number around 4:20 in the afternoon! It's so annoying because it happens now and then. Luckily, I've got an answerphone set up! The caller ID says it's from Cardiff, but I don't know anyone there, not even remotely connected! So yeah, they just get my message recorder every time. Honestly, are these callers daft or just messing about calling random numbers for fun?

Honestly, I've never dealt with such a relentless scam caller before. It’s always a female voice leaving a voicemail about insurance for home appliances. The message never changes, but the number it comes from is always different. I just keep blocking each one as they come through.

Got a call from some home appliance company saying cuz I haven't claimed anything in nearly two years, I might get a discount on my premium. Seems like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call today from some dodgy home insurance folks. I only picked up because I was expecting a call from the hospital. The caller, who sounded like a foreigner, already knew my full name, address and phone number! Seriously, who’s been giving my details away? I hung up straight away. These jokers seem to have loads of different numbers - I block one, another pops up. It’s endless. Anyone knows the best way to stop these pest calls? They’re driving me mad!

I didn’t know the number so I just let it ring through to answerphone. Oddly, they actually left a message this time, but since it was about home appliance insurance, I’ve no intention of picking up if they try again!

Got a call again from a woman saying my home appliances’ insurance had run out. My stuff is pretty ancient and I’ve never signed up for anything like that, plus I’m not interested. She kept cutting me off so I just hung up. This is the third time in about three weeks I’ve been hassled with this. Every time I try to block the number by marking it as spam, but they keep switching the phone number. Bloody annoying!

Just got a call about some kind of insurance for my appliances, sounded fishy - definitely a scam.

Got another call about my home appliance warranty. These scammers are getting sneaky, using loads of numbers that only change by one digit. This time it was from Cardiff... I just let it ring till it hits the answerphone now. Honestly, when’s this going to end!

I'm in two minds about whether this was a scam or not. The caller claimed to be from Domestic & General, but she was exceedingly insistent and quite aggressive in her approach.

Got a call about some appliance insurance I supposedly had. When I said I wasn’t bothered, the caller asked if I wanted to cancel it. Then, as soon as I said I don’t actually have any appliance insurance, they just hung up. I nearly confused it with my home insurance at first, so watch out for that.

I've had several calls from different places, all claiming to offer insurance for my washing machine but from a Cardiff number. Seems like a total scam to me. Don’t get mixed up with them, they’re definitely trying to con you.

Got a really annoying call that felt more like harassment. The person on the other end sounded caught off guard when I picked up. They used the typical script I’ve heard from loads of others - a pause before saying “hello, how’s your day going?” I just ended the call straight away. For months now, I’ve been bombarded with calls about some “service plan for home appliances” that I never signed up for. They seriously need to be found and shut down - it’s obviously a scam.

The phone went straight to the answerphone. Then a rough bloke just yelled “hello” and slammed down. I've put that number on my block list now.

Got a call from a guy who gave some random name and claimed he was from the warranty department. I asked him what warranty department he meant, and he instantly got all annoyed, snapping at me to listen up. That came across as really disrespectful, so I just told him to stop faffing about and get a proper job instead of trying to scam folks!

Received a call from someone insisting on talking to my mum about her Sky Box warranty that had apparently expired. No idea where they got her name from since we don’t even have Sky. I've had loads of calls from 02920958700 lately, and I finally told them to stick their phone where the sun don't shine. These scammers really need to stop wasting my time. How hard is it for them to just remove my number from their stupid list?

When I answered the call, I stayed quiet just to hear what they'd say. Then some woman, clearly a recorded message, started talking about wanting to discuss home appliance insurance. We don't even have that kind of cover, so it was pretty clear it was a scam. They’re probably after your bank info to steal your money. Best to just hang up and not bother with these con artists.

Got a call from someone saying he was 'Michael' representing a company offering me 30% off my domestic appliance warranty since apparently I hadn’t made any claims in the last year. He reckoned I was paying £21 a month by direct debit. When I asked what appliances were included, he said it covered the fridge and washing machine. I handed the phone over to my husband, who actually handles the bills. He told the caller we don’t have any such policy and asked him to stop phoning. Seems like a total scam to me!

I’ve just received a phone call from this number. They were attempting to sell me a renewal on a domestic appliance insurance that I never signed up for, and they seemed completely clueless about any details regarding this non-existent policy!

Got a call from someone saying they were D and G appliance insurance, offering an extra free year since I apparently hadn't called them out. When I asked which appliances were covered, they messed it up completely. I ended the call quick, called them a sneaky scammer and had a go at his upbringing. Funny how these callers always have strong foreign accents but use proper British Christian names. Anyway, I quite like having a good moan about these dodgy types.

I received a ring today, the 22nd of August 2022, regarding some sort of cover for domestic appliances that I don't even possess. Clearly a scammer’s game trying to fish for your banking information to drain your finances. Don't fall prey to these lowlifes; keep your details close to your chest!

I got a call from this number the other day. The person on the other end was talking super quick and actually knew my name, which I reckon they must’ve got from somewhere dodgy selling info. When I asked who it was, they said something about Domestic Appliance Services. But the minute I asked what they wanted, they just hung up. Definite scam in my opinion.

They mentioned something about a re-application with Domestic and General that was supposedly linked to my address, which was right. When I asked what appliance it was about, the guy with an accent said cooker, washing machine, fridge, and freezer. I told him straight away it sounded like a scam and hung up. It's been ages since we had any cover from Domestic and General anyways. Definitely a scam call, now I've blocked the number.
