On day one, I received a call, but the caller simply ended the conversation before I could say anything. The following day, a man rang up and inquired whether I was the property owner. I informed him it was a rented place, and then he promptly hung up on me. When I tried to return the call, a woman who identified herself as Freda, aged 89, answered. She expressed that this sort of thing happens very frequently and suspects it to be some sort of scam, possibly stemming from crossed lines or something similar. Quite the peculiar situation, really!
