I received a voice message purporting to be from Amazon, stating it was necessary to update my supposedly existing Prime account-of which I have none. The message went on to say that should I wish to terminate this fictional Prime subscription, I should press 1 to connect with someone. I promptly ended the call.

I've just popped that number on my blocked list. It was a pre-recorded message that my toddler happened to hear, yet curiously, only one individual has my digits, so it’s clearly just promotional nuisance.

I received two calls from the same number - one was supposedly from Amazon, and the other asserted they were my Internet service provider. Curiously, they both terminated the call as soon as I requested their name. Quite suspicious, wouldn't you agree?
