I picked up but stayed silent, this woman on the other end kept saying hello over and over, and she didn’t sound Welsh or even English. When she figured out I wasn’t going to respond, she just hung up.Wales3 yearsMy phone showed a caller ID saying "the depot Cardiff." A lady with a strong accent claimed she worked for BT or maybe EE, trying to sell me a "free" upgrade to the newest iPhone. I almost burst out laughing. Just the day before, I saw a show about someone getting scammed by a call just like this one. Seriously, don’t fall for it.CardiffBTEE3 yearsSCAM ALERT. When I confronted them, they just laughed it off, bragging about being in a great financial position and told me they’re not affected by the cost of living issues at all. Apparently, they've even just bought a new BMW M3, all thanks to people not standing up to them. 🤬 The police advised me to spread the word on social media and encourage everyone to share it, as this way more people can be warned about these scams.
