Got a call saying my documents were sorted to block annoying calls, but I knew straight away it was dodgy, so I just ended the call. Later, I blocked the number using BT 1582.

A young bloke with a thick, scruffy accent claimed he worked in some security team that stops annoying calls. He mentioned we’d been getting these annoying calls and even knew my home address. I kept pushing him to tell me which company or organisation he was actually with. After a while, he just said, "You don’t get what we're about. I’ll leave you be then."

This person seemed really pushy and quite rude when they called. Totally aggressive, made me feel uncomfortable right away. Not someone I’d want to speak to again!

Got a call from someone called Jade, claiming to be from the Secure Information Team, but she wouldn’t say which firm she was from. She insisted on speaking to my mum, claiming she’s the account holder for our landline. Apparently, they’ve had loads of complaints about nuisance calls nearby and wanted to make sure my mum’s security was alright. I told her not to call back, but she kept going on about needing to speak to the account holder - who, by the way, isn’t actually my mum!
