A woman with an Indian accent claims to be representing an electricity company. When attempting to return her call, the phone does not ring normally; instead, it plays music followed by a strange sound, as if a scammer has taken control of the number. Eventually, she answers and says "hello."
I questioned how she obtained my number, to which she replied that it was from some registry. I demanded that she remove my number from that registry and accused her of being a fraud. In response, she began arguing and questioned how I could know that she's a fraud. 🙄

I received a phone call from this number informing me that he represented Telstra and required me to install a PC application to enhance my internet speed. I terminated the call promptly. Given the sweltering weather, I had no interest in engaging in any deceitful interactions or wasting my own valuable time. I simply ended the conversation.

Pretentious individuals from India are once again attempting to deceive people by posing as representatives from Telstra telecom company and making fraudulent phone calls.

Received a phone call from a specific number whereby a woman informed me that an individual had set up a fraudulent Amazon Prime account using my mobile number. She proceeded to request that I perform the action of pressing Ctrl + Windows key + R (which enables remote access to a computer). However, when this method failed, she then asked me to visit the website "primesprt.website2.me". Being cautious, I conducted a quick search on Google without visiting the site directly. The top result revealed a scamdoc rating of 50%. It is worth noting that this website does not correspond with Amazon's official support page.

I was recently contacted by this particular number. When I picked up, I heard an automated voice message impersonating AMAZON. It stated that my Amazon Prime membership is on the verge of renewing for a yearly fee of £99.95. To cancel the subscription, it prompted me to press 1 and speak to a representative. Just to clarify, I do not possess an Amazon Prime account, which leads me to believe that this interaction is indeed a fraudulent scam.

Someone rang me claiming to be from Telstra, stating that my IP address had been compromised. I decided to do some research and discovered that my IP address was indeed displayed as being in the USA according to a Google search. The caller then asked me to visit another website so that he could remote into my device. He provided me with an ID, DL458264, and said his name was Erick. When I mentioned that I would call Telstra to verify his identity, he responded with a remark such as "when did you become so cynical?" (Me - I've been cautious from the very beginning)... any legitimate Telstra employee would understand why I am skeptical.

I received a phone call and a gentleman with an Indian accent claimed to be from Telstra. I responded skeptically, asking if he was really from Telstra. After a brief silence, he admitted that he wasn't. I questioned him further, asking what he wanted. At that point, he abruptly ended the call. It's disheartening to see how unprofessional these scammers can be. Remembering the good old days when we would receive letters or emails from Nigerian princes seeking to transfer money out of the country, their approach had a certain level of sophistication.

Certainly a fraudulent scheme! On the dot of 5:21pm yesterday, they gave me a ring, but I refrained from answering. Then, today at precisely 5:58pm, their call came through once more! This time, I had my microphone on mute and when I responded, they hastily terminated the call!
