I ignored the call and they didn’t leave any voicemail.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from an electricity provider. When I rang the number she gave back, it wasnt ringing like normal. Instead, there was some music playing then a weird noise, almost like the scammer had control of the line. Then a voice said ‘hello’. I asked her where she got my number from and she said some kind of registry. Told her to remove me from it and called her a scammer. She got all defensive and started questioning how I knew she was a fraud 🙄

Got a ring from this number claiming to be Telstra, saying they wanted me to download some app on my computer to make my internet faster. I just ended the call straight away. It was boiling hot, and honestly, I wasn’t up for any nonsense or messing about, so no way was I gonna waste my time chatting with them. Just cut the call.

Some bloke rang up claiming he was from Telstra and kept asking me for my IP address. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Received a ring from this number, and a woman on the line claimed someone had made a fake Amazon Prime profile using my phone number. She tried to get me to press Ctrl + Windows key + R, saying it would help her access my PC remotely. When that didn’t do the trick, she told me to check out "primesprt.website2.me". I didn’t click through, just googled it, and the top hit was a scamdoc report showing a 50% scam likelihood. Plus, the URL definitely isn’t the legit Amazon customer service site.

In short, just another scam call pretending to be from Amazon Prime.

Got a call from this number earlier today, and as soon as I answered, an automated message started saying it was from AMAZON. It told me my Amazon Prime subscription was going to renew soon for $99.95 a year. Then it said if I wanted to cancel, I should press 1 to talk to someone.

Problem is, I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account, so this has got to be a scam.

I had a call from this number but stayed silent and they ended up hanging up. After that, I just blocked the number. Cheers to this site for the info - I've shared it with all my mates and family now.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Telstra saying my IP address had been hacked or something. I quickly googled and saw my IP was showing up as from the US. Then he wanted me to visit some Google page so he could take control of my computer remotely. He gave me this ID, DL458264 - said his name was Erick or something. When I told him I'd ring Telstra direct to check, he snapped, "when did you get so suspicious?" I told him, "actually, right from the beginning." Any real Telstra rep would get why I’m not trusting random calls.

I picked up the phone and some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was from Telstra. I said "Oh, really?" then there was this weird pause, and he admitted he wasn’t. I asked what he wanted then and he just hung up. Seriously, where’s the courtesy with these scam callers? Back in the day, at least you'd get a proper letter or an email from a Nigerian prince asking for help moving money abroad... now that was something. Proper old-school style.

Totally a scam for sure!! They rang me yesterday at 17:21 but I didn’t pick up. Then today, they called once more at 17:58! When I finally answered while keeping my microphone muted, they just dropped the call immediately!

My phone spotted it was spam and blocked it on time, so I didn’t pick up. Typical spam caller trying again!

Got a call about my Telstra internet service but I told them I didn't even use Telstra for internet, so I figured it was a scam and they just ended the call right after.
