Got a call from EE, seemed legit, offering a cheaper upgrade for my mobile plan. I gave them my card info figuring I’d get more data - and looks like I do have an extra 2GB now :D But when I looked at my bank account later, all my money had vanished. Bit worrying, to say the least.

I called this number and it didn’t even buzz once, just went straight to silence. Gave it two more goes, making sure I’d got the digits right and had hidden my number as well, but nada, same thing happened. I couldn’t find it listed on any business directory, so I’m guessing it’s just another scammer having a go. Best steer well clear of this one.

So this bloke rings up and instead of asking for me by name, he just starts with "how are you today?" - classic sign it’s one of those annoying scam calls.

They said they were calling from 02, saying I could get a 30% off deal. The number showed it was from Belfast, but the accent was just weird, like they were from somewhere in the middle of nowhere! I threw a question at them about the total of my last bill, and they totally froze up, didn’t have a clue. Pretty obvious it was a scam.
