Got a call at 10:25 in the morning on Monday from someone saying they were from a "call blocking service." Got one of those dodgy robotic calls saying it was Amazon again. I’ve seen the BBC show “Scam Interceptors” cover these loads of times. If you hit 1 to ask anything, you end up chatting with the scammers themselves, who mostly operate from giant call centres in places like India or Pakistan. They’ll try to nick all your money and steal your identity.

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from Amazon about my Prime subscription. It went to answerphone, so they left a message. The number is linked to a firm called DDIWW Communications. Tried to report the number misuse on their site, but couldn’t as it asked for both my email and phone number. Shouldn’t have to give two contacts, just one should be enough. Didn’t want to give my phone number in case it ends up making scam calls more likely if their database leaks. So, I couldn’t send the complaint.

He spoke with a strong Asian accent and I had to ask a few times for him to repeat, but I finally got that he was mentioning he'd stop all those annoying calls. I just said, "That's great, thanks," and ended the call before he went on any further!

If you miss paying your SKY bill, they cut you off straight away, so why can’t the same happen to these scam artists??? Got a call from 02894601091 this morning at 9:56am. The bloke on the line had an Asian accent and said he was updating their records, but after that, what he said was just nonsense and felt like a scam attempt. I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

On 16th February 2023, at 08:28, I had a call from the number 02894601091. The person on the other end claimed to represent a company that blocks unwanted calls. They wanted me to subscribe to their service to prevent future bogus callers. However, they went a step too far by requesting my card details. Due to this, I promptly ended the call.

Got a call that seemed like it was from Ireland but turns out it was just one of those scam call centres based in India. They mess about with the numbers to make it look like the call's coming from the UK. I picked up this morning, heard loads of weird static, then the call just dropped. Some of these scammers use fake numbers or even steal other people's phone digits.
