I got a phone call from a lady who sounded really nervous and had a heavy foreign accent. She kept saying the same thing over and over but I couldn’t catch a single word she was saying. I asked her to say it again a few times, but it was still impossible to understand her at all. Then she just ended the call. What’s the point of running a scam (like some others have mentioned) if you’re using callers who can’t be understood? It’s just a total waste of time for everyone involved...

They started talking but I honestly couldn't catch what they were saying, so I told them that. Next thing I knew, they just ended the call.

Honestly, I was confused when I cut him off to ask what exactly he was trying to sell. Instead of an answer, he just called me a bunch of nasty names and slammed the phone down. Bit of a letdown, really - I was almost curious to see what he had to offer. Plus, no way was he Irish, despite the accent I thought I heard!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from my phone company, O2, even though I don’t actually use O2. She told me I could get 30% off my plan.

She asked me to wait while she connected me to the “discount team” but I ended up hanging up.

Not long after, like seven seconds later, she rang me back but this time from a different number (0289460 1071).

Vodafone actually blocked this number for being a scam, which shows they’re really keeping an eye out. Honestly, these scammers from Nigeria are such a pain, sometimes I wonder if something drastic should be done to stop them once and for all.

Got a call claiming to be from my mobile network, but it was definitely a scam. I warned them I'd sort them out proper if they dared ring back. They ended up swearing at me and throwing some Nigerian phrases my way as a “thank you” for my attitude!
