Got three calls from this number today, and when I picked up, the person was asking for someone I’ve never heard of. I told them they’d dialled the wrong number, but they insisted it was right and just hung up on me.

Thought it was the AA ringing me back about my insurance renewal, so I picked up without checking the number. Instead, this person starts asking about my electric provider and tries to pitch that I’m overpaying. When I asked for their company’s website, they said they don’t have one - they like to do things the “personal” way with phone calls. Then I asked for their business address and official name, and they just said they’re not obligated to share that info. That was enough for me, so I ended the call and made sure to block them.

I've seen plenty of warnings about this number on the Should I Answer app, and it's got a pretty poor rep. From what I gather, Amazon might be partly to blame here. They really don't seem to care much about privacy, especially when they slap your phone number right on the outside of their packages! It's mad how careless they can be with stuff like that.

When I informed her that she had dialled the wrong number, I kindly requested that she remove me from their contact list. She agreed to do so, and I thanked her before ending the call.

I got a sketchy call from someone pretending to be from a company while I was on my computer. When I asked where their main office was, they said it was in the UK. I pressed for more details but they wouldn’t say, claiming it wasn’t their business to tell me. Totally a scam if you ask me. They then asked about my energy provider, which I told them. If this number rings you, just say ‘Foreign Office’ and hang up. These scammers are definitely not based in the UK. On the bright side, an animal charity I support has benefited a lot recently!
