6 monthsGot a call at around 8 in the morning today, 21st Jan 2026, someone claiming to be from Domestic & General Insurance. They wanted to know which bank I had an account with. I told them I wasn't interested and ended the call.Domestic & General Insurance3 yearsGot a call supposedly from O2 customer service, but I wasn’t interested so I ended the call. Afterwards, I got a couple of texts from O2 containing a security code and a warning not to share it with anyone. Luckily, I was near an O2 store, so I popped in and asked if they still make calls like that. They told me O2 don’t call customers anymore and that it was a scam. Since I hadn’t given out the code, I didn’t need to worry.O23 yearsSome bloke rang up saying he was from O2, then sent me a code claiming it was from them. Along with the code, I got a warning from O2 saying never to share it because they’d never ask for it. When I started asking questions, the guy got really nasty.O23 yearsI received a call purporting to be from O2, claiming they could slash my bill significantly. The caller sent some dodgy password reset texts for my online account and insisted I disregard the ***SECURITY WARNING*** message from O2. Let me be clear: this is a complete scam! When I asked for their identity, the woman abruptly ended the call. The whole ploy is aimed at breaching your mobile account and tampering with your two-factor authentication.
