Not sure who was calling me, but the number showed up as a Carrickfergus one (028 93), which is local to Northern Ireland where I’m based. When I picked up, I could hear the background noise of a busy call centre and someone greeting me with an accent I didn’t recognise. I said hello back, then they just cut the line straight away. These irritating calls seem to come from what looks like local numbers now, instead of those withheld or UK wide codes like before. I’ve had two of these today already, which is really annoying as I use my phone for both work and personal stuff.
