Avoid sharing any details with these fraudsters! I received a call from someone claiming to be conducting a survey about electricity usage. They were probing into the energy-saving improvements I've made in my household.

A couple of days back, I got a call saying my loft insulation was out of date. But every time I tried to ask something off their script, the line went dead for a second, then they repeated the same spiel over again. Didn't waste my time - I just ended the call sharpish.

Some bloke ringing up said we were listed on some sort of energy register 'cause of old loft insulation - which we’ve never actually had. He reckoned to be on that register the place should have an EPC done, but we've never got one. Then he went on about how our "insulation might lead to damp and mould in some homes" - not true if you've got decent loft ventilation. The “solution” he pushed wouldn’t even fit in our house. He also claimed most neighbours had a survey done - yeah, right. I didn’t buy any of it and just told him off before hanging up.

Got a call at 9.01 this morning from a number I didn’t know, and the area code looked odd. I hung up straight away when I answered. After reading the comments, it seems it’s from a nearby place, definitely not Northern Ireland but somewhere near East Anglia. Pretty sure it’s a scam call.

Got a call from some young guy with a really youthful voice, askin' about my loft insulation. He claimed the insulation might be makin' the place damp and said I could get a free survey if I was over 50. Then he asked for my name, saying his boss needed it to speak properly when callin' back to set up a visit. When he rang back to fix an appointment, I just told him I'd look them up online and hung up. I don’t usually pick up my landline anyway since most people just ring my mobile.
