Got a call on my landline that’s registered with TPS. There was ages of silence and just as I was about to hang up, I heard a voice start talking. Strange!

Some bloke called saying they were lowering my TV cover from £7 down to £5 a month - problem is, I ain’t got any such cover at all. I just played along and said cheers for the offer. He had a sort of Asian accent and then started asking for my name and address, probably trying to trick me into saying 'yes' so they can use my voice for god knows what dodgy business. Every time he asked something, I just kept replying with 'Who exactly is calling me?'. Eventually, he gave up and disconnected. Lesson learnt: never ever say 'Yes' to cold calls like that.
