Tried ringing our home phone but call got stopped by our call blocker since the number was unknown. Looked it up here and now it’s blocked.

Had three calls earlier today, two of them were just silent and one was from a bloke around half one in the afternoon. One of the silent ones even rang me up before 8 in the morning! When the guy spoke at lunchtime, I just stayed quiet till he decided to hang up.

Twice today, I picked up my landline and there was silence on the other end. Not a single word was said.

Had a call from someone with a really strong Indian accent asking if I was "miss Jean" or something like that. I just quickly said no and hung up before they could say anything else, but I swear I heard them muttering "mam mam" as I ended the call. This is how I handle those calls now. Anytime I hear "Hello mam" with an Indian accent, I just say no straight away. Got loads of calls like this before.

Got a call today, picked up and there was nothing but dead silence on the line. Waited a bit hoping someone would speak, but nada. Then the call just dropped without any explanation. Quite odd really!

Honestly, if you’re getting spam calls, you should be reporting them straight to the ICO, not the Telephone Preference Service. TPS just collects complaints but is funded by the phone companies, so it doesn’t really have much power. Loads of overseas firms don’t even bother signing up with the TPS. The ICO actually has the clout to take legal action against companies in the UK that make nuisance calls. Plus, putting in a complaint with them is pretty straightforward.

Got a call from some spammer, and as soon as I asked what they were after, they just cut the call. I've blocked that number straight away.

02880090009 rang me three times yesterday and four times today, claiming my washing machine insurance had run out? Mine actually runs until August 2022, so they were totally lying. I just hung up on them. Haven't answered any calls from that number since.

Got three calls from this number today. Didn’t answer 'cause I’ve no clue who it is. It went to voicemail but no message was left. If they ring again, I’m gonna pick up and have a bit of fun with them.

This number keeps ringing our home phone all the time. We normally hang on until the answering machine kicks in to say ‘please leave a message’, but there’s never anything left, and the line just goes dead straight away. Seriously, is there no way to get these annoying calls to stop? I reckon we’ve had no less than twelve calls from them by now. Anyway, I’ve just added them to the blocked contacts.

They rang me a few times today, didn’t pick up and from what I’ve seen with others, it’s definitely a dodgy scam.

Got a call, the person said it was about our washing machine warranty, but ours expired ages ago. We never bought into those pricey annual cover deals from D&G anyway. Felt like one of those phishing scams to me.
