Got a call from someone saying they were with Santander's fraud dept. A lady told me my name but after that it sounded like a recorded message. They wanted me to phone back and put in a 3 digit code. I checked by ringing Santander on the number listed on their site, and they confirmed they hadn’t tried to call me and it wasn't them at all.

This number rang me a few times today but didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or anything, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it.

The endless stream of cold calls from ambulance chasers and ppi folks never seems to end. Surely they must know by now that everyone can spot their tricks? Honestly, all I can do is sigh, have a little chuckle, and then go straight to blocking them.
