7 yearsI received a phone call today at 1:20 PM from this number. The person on the line claimed they were from the bank and asked if I had authorised a £600 payment. If I hadn’t, they instructed me to press a certain button. At that moment, my husband, who has dementia, answered the phone from his room, but I swiftly disconnected the call before he could respond. I explained to him that it was a scam and reinforced that if he doesn’t recognise the caller, it’s best not to pick up the phone. Unfortunately, he likely won’t recall this advice tomorrow. We’re both in our eighties, and these scam calls make us quite anxious.
