Got a call but when I picked up, there was silence so I quickly hung up. Later I figured out it must have been some kind of scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk, said my phone line was about to get cut off. I asked the lady on the other end if she could give me her personal number, just to see if she’d realise how dodgy it is to ring up people’s private numbers like that. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call from this number but there was no one on the other end, just dead silence.

So, had a call from some folks who sounded American but were calling from India, supposedly about my British internet connection. They warned me my internet was about to get disconnected, so I picked option one and followed their easy steps to sign into my device. Now, just like they warned, my internet’s completely dead and my laptop won’t work either. When I phoned BT on my mobile to sort it out, they acted like they hadn’t a clue what I was talking about. Honestly, BT are a bunch of muppets.

Had some bloke on the phone with a heavy accent claiming he was calling from BT, saying my internet would get cut off soon. Total nonsense if you ask me.

My 93 year old mum just got a call saying something like “We’re going to disconnect your...” y’know the usual rubbish. Luckily she’s smart enough to ring me straight away instead of panicking. Honestly, these scammy calls wind me right up!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Talktalk. They've tried ringing my other phone too, the one for my basement flat. When I called him out on being a scammer and a fraud, he just laughed it off like it was some kind of joke. I told him to stop bothering me and not to ever ring again. Not sure if he'll stick to that... This kind of thing could be really harmful for someone who's more trusting.

This morning just before 10am someone with an Asian accent rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying my router had been infected with some kind of malware and wanted me to check it. I hung up straight away - it’s clearly another scam. Why can't TalkTalk do something to block these fraudsters? I get calls like this all the time and I'm honestly fed up with it.

Got a call saying my internet was gonna be cut off. This is the third time in just a couple of days, each time from a different number, all telling me my phone line was about to be disconnected. I checked with BT and they told me these are scams and they’d never get in touch like that. Total dodgy calls.

Got a call from some automated American telling me my internet was about to be cut off, then got passed to some Asian person on the line. Total waste of time, just another clueless scam. Why don't the phone providers just shut down these numbers? Feels like they're making a fortune from leasing them out. I've blocked them now, but really, we shouldn't have to be the ones sorting this mess out.

Someone called sayin my internet was gonna get cut off, so I tried to bribe the bloke with a bowl of rice to keep it on! He said I was stingy or something? I joked back with “make it two bowls then!” Then I pulled back the offer - serve him right! Seriously, these calls are sketchy. Don’t fall for it, seriously.
