Lately, I've been getting quite a few calls from this number. The person on the other end often speaks with a foreign accent, maybe from somewhere in Southeast Asia? They keep saying I’m eligible for a free health alert device in case I fall down or have an accident. Whenever I ask who recommended me for this - like if it was my doctor or a hospital - the caller, who seems to change each time, starts getting quite pushy and rude. A while back, the same number rang me up trying to sell me a deal on washing machine insurance that I don't even have.

Heads up! This number rang my elderly family member with dementia just yesterday. They asked for her name and birthday to 'verify' her, then tried to get info from her cheque book. Luckily, we caught it on a camera set up at her house. Then I asked how she knew my details and she said I qualified and gave me a name that wasn’t mine. I told her she had the wrong person, and she then asked if I knew where she was calling from! I admitted I didn’t, and she said she must have made a mistake before hanging up. I didn’t even think these alarms worked through digital numbers! Seems like a total scam, and folks can easily get caught out talking to these callers.
