Sounds like a dodgy call centre trying to scam.

The chap on the other end definitely had a noticeable foreign accent, quite distinctively Indian. He assured me he had no intention of peddling anything. Claimed he merely wanted to pose three brief questions, suggesting it would just take a minute of my day. I eventually told him to cut it out and stop ringing me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent asking for “just a minute”. Ended the call straight away. Probably some spam or something dodgy.
