An individual with an Indian accent was quite familiar with my last name and claimed he wanted to ask me a handful of questions, reassuring me it would be a mere thirty seconds of my time. Yet, when I pressed him for details about his identity and the organisation he was with, he simply reiterated what he had initially said. At that moment, I decided to end the conversation and hung up. Quite curiously, the following day, my landline and broadband went kaput. My provider explained it was due to an external fault.
