They've rang my mum and dad loads of time, always claiming they're part of the telephone preference scheme. It's like they think we’re daft or something. My folks are quite old, and thankfully I've been there for most of the calls to deal with it. Hope they stop bothering us soon - it's proper annoying.

They claimed to be calling from tel pref to help with nuisance calls - bit ironic if you ask me! I didn't give them any personal info but mentioned the call might be recorded for training. Guess what? They just hung up right after. Other calls I've had didn’t verify any details about accounts or whatever. Best advice: don’t confirm or deny a thing, keep quiet. Those scammers can gather bits and pieces and cause chaos if you’re not careful.

This number is definitely dodgy. I got four calls from it today, with someone pretending to be from a phone preference service trying to stop nuisance calls. Funny how calling me repeatedly doesn’t seem to register as being annoying to them. The number looks like it’s from Northern Ireland, but who knows where these fraudsters are actually ringing from - could be anywhere really.

Got two calls today - the first one was silent when I picked up, then a guy’s voice popped up for a second before it ended. The second call came around midday, was quiet the entire time and then just hung up. Proper annoying.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he's from BT, said he could stop the annoying calls right away. He started saying he was aware my visa and debit cards were about to run out and wanted to know the month. I just hung up straight away. Then he called back again. This time, he said he didn’t need my card details but asked about “those little numbers below your name.” I cut him off again and haven’t heard from him since. Reported it to my bank just in case.

Got a call from 02837-789038, didn’t hear a thing on the other end. The way they put a hyphen in the number seemed really suspicious to me, kinda like a classic scam sign.
