Picked up the phone, but no one said a word-just another bothersome call!

She said she was ringing from Manchester using an 0161 number, but my phone showed an 0283 code instead. Even though I pointed it out, she kept saying she was in Manchester but couldn’t say what street she was on. Plus, she said she’d never heard of Salford, which seemed a bit odd.

Got a call from someone saying they were from an insurance firm covering my kitchen gear like the cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer. I told them I didn’t own a fridge freezer and they went on about my fridge and freezer separately! When I asked if they even knew what brand my washing machine was, they just cut me off. Proper rude. Another number straight to the block list.

It’s really concerning that they managed to get hold of my full details including address and postcode. When I said I’d report her to the police, she just ended the call straight away. They seriously need to take action against these types of calls, especially since they can really upset vulnerable people.
