Someone rang up saying they could help me protect my BT account from hackers. All they wanted was my info!!!!

I got a message from what I thought was my internet company telling me to ring this number back. After I called, there was just a voice repeating "hello... hello... hello" over and over. Bit odd, if you ask me.
