My computer suddenly locked up and started blaring a loud warning about a virus, insisting I ring some Microsoft support number, which was 02830440651, I think. Right from the beginning, I knew something was off, but I foolishly let him take over my computer. Then he started asking for my personal info and demanded £10 for some virus protection. That’s when I grabbed another laptop to check the phone number online. I quickly stopped what he was doing on my main computer, which clearly annoyed him, and he just hung up on me.

My laptop suddenly made this awful noise and the screen just froze. A warning popped up claiming to be from the Microsoft tech support team, telling me to ring them for assistance. The number was 028 3044 0651, which I later found on this site's scam list. The bloke on the phone, calling himself David Logan, seemed legit at first, as he appeared to be showing virus info on my screen. But I got wary when he asked for my card details to "buy" new virus software, so I didn’t go ahead with it. Watch out, folks!

Got a call from 02830896931 saying they were from Virgin Media about my internet/router issues. They couldn't really confirm any of my account info though, but kept nagging at me nonstop! Proper irritating.

Lately, I've had loads of calls coming from numbers starting with 02837 and 02838. As soon as my answerphone picks up, the calls hang up straight away, so I'm pretty sure it’s either a scam or just annoying cold calls. From what I can tell, all these numbers belong to Magrathea Telecommunications Ltd, based at Unit 5 Commerce Park, Brunel Road, Theale, RG7 4AB.

Got calls from 0283 and loads other numbers, all pretending to be from Amazon saying something about refunds or Prime memberships. Honestly, just don’t press 1 to talk to anyone - they’ll try and rob you blind! Absolute scammers.

Each time it's the same recorded voice saying someone used my Amazon account to buy an iPad and to press 1 to get my money back. Total scam! They’re pretty sneaky, swapping the digits after the 0283 so if you block one, another rings through. Really annoying.

Got a call from 02837998156, no one spoke when I answered. Only sound was a few taps, like someone messing about on a piano, then they hung up. Didn’t pick up properly, just saw it was a missed call with a message recording which I ended up deleting.

He went on calling me a lying brexit voter and something about lady parts? When I told him he’d got the wrong number, you could tell whoever’s teaching these guys at that boiler room needs to do a better job.

Got a call from some kid called Curry askin’ about my money stuff and which companies I deal with. Told him to bugger off or maybe try out for that new series ‘Tain’t Half Hot Mum’ with those Asian con artists. They proper lose it if you don’t take them seriously and just waste their time.

The call from 02838 831153 was dead silent at first, then suddenly some bloke started shouting, demanding to talk to a person I don’t even know. He went on calling me a lying, Brexit-supporting woman or something daft like that. When I told him he’d got the wrong number, it was clear their training at that call centre is awful.
