I can't believe this was actually from HMRC! They typically communicate via letters, not phone calls, and definitely don't leave automated messages. It's quite clear these people are up to no good! I received a pre-recorded message claiming I was being investigated for tax evasion. What a load of nonsense!

I got a call that claimed to be from HMRC threatening me, but I knew they usually send letters, not call. I dialed 1471 to check the number and it just rang back to the caller, so I ended the call quick. Then I tried 1471 once more, got the new number, looked it up on Google and found this website.

Looks like this number is a landline based in Burton-on-Trent, and it’s linked to BT as the provider (though that’s just the carrier, I think). I couldn’t track down any reviews or comments about it anywhere, which usually means it’s not a problem. Has anyone here come across it before?

I keep getting rings from numbers that look nearly the same, probably from the same spot. I've blocked multiple ones already but they just keep coming.
