Be wary, folks! These chaps are nothing but con artists! I can assure you, they aren’t connected to Meridian Energy at all. Have a gander at this link: https://www.meridianenergy.co.nz/news-and-events/be-aware-of-hoax-calls-2/ They phoned me up demanding my credit card info and had the audacity to suggest they’d cut off my power, despite me being completely current with my payments. This seems to be a right nuisance in the Canterbury region.
