Had a couple of calls today. The first was from a bloke with a pronounced Indian accent, calling himself "Kevin." He didn’t quite get into his spiel before I decided to cut the conversation short-just couldn't deal with the accent. The second call was silent; I left the line open for about 10 to 15 seconds, but they ended up hanging up. This number seems to belong to AQL Wholesale Ltd, a telecommunications outfit based here in the UK. Frankly, I’m not particularly fond of them, especially since their initials remind me a bit too much of SQL-a type of dodgy code often exploited by hackers to mess with electronics and snag private information. My advice? Best to steer clear of these calls!

Today, I received a call from someone named "Michael," who had quite a noticeable Indian accent. He claimed to be from O2 and was able to provide details about my account, including how long I have been a customer and when I last topped up (which, by the way, was indeed twice last month). He proposed a rather tempting deal of 500 minutes for both landlines and mobiles, plus 500 texts, all for a mere £5 a month. When I asked if I needed to share my bank info, he confirmed that I would, but insisted it was solely to verify the authenticity of my account-much like what the genuine O2 team does by taking out a token £1 or even just a penny. He reassured me that after this, I could maintain a balance of zero, barring just enough to cover that monthly £5 fee. However, I couldn't help but feel that my account would be cleaned out long before that. I decided to turn down his offer as it struck me as a classic too-good-to-be-true scenario! Please, folks, never share your bank details with anyone over the phone. I hope you find this information useful!
