Got a call from a woman with a Chinese accent who said she was calling on behalf of O2. She tried to pitch me some deals for my phone plan but didn’t know any details like my usage. It’s definitely a scam. About six months ago I had a similar call and nearly fell for it but felt something was off and hung up. Later I checked with O2 myself and they confirmed it wasn’t them at all and it’s a fraud.

It appears to be O2, but I wouldn’t advise answering calls from unknown numbers. Always best to block them and investigate who’s trying to reach you. If they sense there's no cash to be squeezed from you, they'll do their utmost to keep you talking, draining your credit and minutes in the process. Stay vigilant!

I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2's customer service. They were eager to find out which mobile I was currently using. Given my long-standing loyalty as a customer, I was led to believe they had some special discounts lined up for my data plan. I mentioned I had an ancient N2310 model, which seemed to surprise him. He then began to probe into my bank details, but I made it clear right off the bat that I don’t engage in financial transactions over phones or computers. He subsequently requested my email address to supposedly send through information from O2. However, since then, I haven’t received anything in my inbox. I can’t help but wonder why that is.

02825022907 They dropped me a voicemail saying something like "This is 02 Services. You dont need to worry right now." Its annoying but also kinda funny. Before this, they rang pretending to be from Santander Bank and tried to get me to give out my passcode for my account!!!

I've received numerous calls from them, despite my clear refusal when they offered me an 'extra £10'. They claim they haven't received my payment for this month's top-up, which is absolute nonsense. What a bunch of swindlers! 🙄

Claiming to be from a phone company and saying they’re in Ballymena, Northern Ireland (the area code 02825 is right) but the voice sounds foreign. They phoned my elderly mum, so I told her to block the number. I’m gonna try and catch them if I can.

I’ve been getting calls from these lot for ages, they’re definitely not from 02. I’ve blocked them a few times but they just ring back from a new number after about a fortnight. The weird thing is, the number always pops up as Ballymena, Ireland. No clue what’s going on, but it’s defo not what it claims to be.

I didn't pick up but thought I'd warn others since I keep getting calls from this and similar numbers, which I believe are dodgy. Try not to ring back just to see who's calling - it's not worth the risk. I usually let it go to voicemail, if it's a legit company, they’ll leave a message. Stay safe everyone x

I received a rather curious call, apparently from Ballymena, although the person on the other end had quite a strong foreign accent. They claimed to be from O2, proposing an additional £3 charge to my phone bill for some supposed 'enhanced internet' service. I found the whole thing rather presumptuous, to say the least. I firmly declined, and she promptly hung up on me. To be honest, it all felt quite dodgy and has scam written all over it!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2. I asked if they thought it was alright to ring on a Bank Holiday. He said O2 just wanted to wish all their loyal customers a Happy Easter. I said nah, this Easter Bunny's not interested and ended the call.

I got a call from 02825022907 on my mobile, but since I didn’t know the number I just left it. Seeing what others have said, it might be O2 - which is my provider - but I’m still not planning to pick up if it rings again. At the same time, my landline was buzzing from another number that, from what I’ve read here, might be linked to some dodgy home insurance scam.

Got a call from someone yesterday claiming to be with O2. They were trying to persuade me to switch to a better contract deal. Then they asked for all my bank details and account numbers. Seemed really pushy and convincing. Seems like it was probably a bank card scam.

Today is Friday 25th February and once again ive had a call from this number saying its O2. Real O2 calls always show up with their name or their genuine number on any network, so this one is a total scam. Definatly a fraud, best to block it ASAP. I also noticed they record your voice if you try and find out who they are. Seriously, block this number, its not just irritating its actually quite risky. Blocked for good!

Got a call earlier from 028 2502 2907 saying they were from 02, but why would 02 ring a pay as you go number? Sounds like a total scam to me!!! I didn’t answer but rang back and put my number to private just in case. Already blocked that number now!!!
