Stay away from Shaw Academy. Got a second call less than 5 minutes after the first, asking why I hadn’t finished my application or given payment info. They advertise a free trial course on Facebook, but then want your card details. I refused to put mine in since I’d read online that they often charge people even if you cancel before the trial ends, plus lots of fake reviews floating around. Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent, working from some call centre in Northern Ireland, pushing hard for my card info even after I said I wasn’t interested. Definitely a dodgy operation!

I just had a couple of missed calls from this number a short while back, and I’ve got a sneaky suspicion it’s up to no good, possibly linked to an advertisement from Shaw Academy I spotted on Instagram. I came across their ad which claimed to offer a four-week complimentary management course. After I signed up and filled in my details, they wanted me to cough up a monthly fee right at the end, which made me think twice, so I didn't go through with it. Then, not half an hour later, this number rang me up. How dodgy is that?
