It seems I've stumbled upon a dubious silent scam operation. They appear to be banking on your intrigue to get you to ring back. When you do, you’re met with a recorded voice that insinuates you've reached out regarding some paperwork-claiming you're now in line to chat with a representative. They masquerade as Citibank, fishing for your personal information. Quite fishy, if you ask me!

It seems to me that this might be some sort of intermediary conducting credit assessments for banks. I received a phone call from them earlier today, and they were merely confirming some information related to an application I submitted with Virgin Money.

I received a call from someone who seemed to know me, but I couldn’t make out what she was saying. When I mentioned that I didn’t recognise her or what she was after, she abruptly ended the call. Very mysterious!

Absolutely brilliant! I don’t possess a Citicorp account and I have no intention of ever acquiring one. Yet, these persistent muppets keep calling! It really highlights just how trustworthy they would be when it comes to credit or investments. Absolute dunderheads, if you ask me!

Received a call purporting to be from Citibank, requesting a reference for one of their staff members. Just seems a bit sketchy, to be honest.

On the 4th of July, 2019, I received a call from someone purporting to be from Citibank, stating that my credit card details had been compromised. I requested that they send me an email with further information, but no email ever came through. I attempted to ring the number several times from various lineups, but it was perpetually engaged. I would strongly advise that this number is likely a fraudulent call.

I found myself with three missed calls from this number, claiming to be from the Card Services Rewards Department. I don't always have my phone switched on, you see. One of the callers didn't bother leaving a message, while the other two mentioned completely different matters that I had absolutely no clue about. To top it off, one caller even got my name wrong! Quite puzzling, if you ask me.

I received a call from this number purporting to be from the Bank of Queensland, but when I tried to respond, there was no one on the line. My accounts seem perfectly fine, which makes the whole situation rather concerning. The voicemail I received seemed rather dubious, and it’s left me feeling quite on edge, especially as I was alone at the time. I've since tried to reach them back, but they haven't bothered to get in touch.
