I got a call from this number earlier today but I didn't pick up since the area code looked unfamiliar. Glad I checked here first, turns out it was the right choice not to answer!

Got a call just like that claiming to be from Talk Talk. Told them I was tied up and asked them to give me a callback number, then suddenly the line just cut off. I did the 1471 check and it came back saying the number wasn’t recognised. Why do these kinds of calls keep happening? Surely something could be done about it?

Got a call on 8/12/16 from some bloke calling himself Brian with an Asian accent. He said he was from TalkTalk and started banging on about some problem with my router messing up my hard drive or whatever. I’ve had loads of calls like this before, so I wasn’t gonna be polite. I spoke to him quite harshly and after a bit, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said he was calling on behalf of TalkTalk, telling me my internet wasn`t safe. I immediately suspected it was a scam, sure he`d try to get me to access my computer next. Seems like they used info from that TalkTalk hack. I`ve let TalkTalk know about the number and they`re sorting it so it won`t call others anymore.

Got a call from someone who said they were my internet company about issues with my connection, but the way he kept pausing made me suspicious it was one of those call centres in India. When I asked which company he was with, he kinda stumbled over his words. Tried ringing the number back after, but it didn’t show up as a valid number at all. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam call.

This same number rang me again today but they didn’t leave a message. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now. It seems like it’s a Crewe area code, but I guess these scammers can just spoof any number they want on the caller ID. It’s crazy that this is allowed - phone companies really need to step up and fix this instead of just charging us!

Our call blocker stops the call from going through, but these guys keep trying non stop. They ring probably around three times every hour for a few hours straight, really annoying.

This number rang me earlier but when I picked up it just went to voicemail and no one left anything! Such a waste of time. Nowadays I only pick up if I actually know the caller or hear a real person speak.
