Got a dodgy call off some bloke from Leicester claiming I'd won £2500 PPI. Asked for my bank info, and when I said no, he just told me to get lost with some proper nasty language. Total scammer!

Received a ring from someone claiming they could offer me calls at a lower rate than BT. I mentioned that my current bills were even cheaper than they suggested, which clearly didn't sit well with them, and they abruptly hung up.

This number, 002726888540, keeps ringing me up every single day. It's always people with English names but who sound Asian, asking for just two minutes to do some survey. I've told them before that my number’s on the telephone preference service list, but they just don't seem to care. Honestly, they're such a pain!

The number seems unfamiliar since con artists have the means to manipulate caller ID, making it appear as though they're phoning from somewhere else entirely.

I received a call from someone with what sounded like an Asian accent. He introduced himself as Sandy, claiming to be from Ofcom. I mean, really? When he asked if we could chat, I flatly replied, "No chance!" and hung up.

I encountered a rather naive young lass, seemingly fresh to the world of telemarketing, who had the audacity to share her name-though it escapes me now as I was too preoccupied with my repeated question of 'What do you want?' She claimed she could help me save a bit on my phone bill, yet she seemed quite flustered when I probed with 'Why?' each time. Her exasperation was palpable, and after several sighs, she abruptly hung up. Should she dare to call again, I'll simply inform her it was all a practice run and she hasn't quite made the grade! Honestly, she ought to consider a different line of work! Goodness, I trust she hasn’t taken it too hard-no need for her to lock herself in the loo over this! Just a bit of banter!

a young lass, seemed fresh to the job, gave her name but i didnt catch it - was too busy going “what now?” she was trying to convince me she could lower my phone bill, but when i kept grilling her with “why?” she got all flustered and kept sighing like she wanted to scream. then she just hung up. if she calls again, i’ll say it was just a drill and she flopped! seriously, find a real job! haha, hope she’s not in the loo feeling sorry for herself!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from 'Ofcom', touting a bargain on line rental for just £9.99 a month, along with incredibly low call charges at 9.99p per minute. The caller identified himself as Roger, but honestly, it felt like just another scam! What a nuisance!

This morning at precisely 8:13, I received a call from this number. An individual with an Asian accent requested to speak to me by name. Instead of engaging, I simply ended the call. These sorts of calls are utterly frustrating and quite unwelcome. Is there any way to put an end to them? Even the Telephone Preference Service seems utterly ineffective in fending them off.

I received a rather unsolicited call from OptonTelecom trying to peddle their budget landline services. After politely but firmly telling them where to go, I decided to investigate the number they gave me, 002706888540. Turns out, it’s not a valid number at all - just comes back as unrecognised! Quite dodgy, if you ask me.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman, but the line was rather poor. He inquired about the person responsible for the bill, unfortunately, they weren’t available at the time. He apologised and then promptly hung up.

I've received a couple of these nuisance calls over the past few days, but I simply let them ring as around 90% of the time, my landline's caller ID presents me with individuals sporting distinctly Asian accents whilst claiming to have perfectly ordinary English names such as "Brian" or "Roger." They usually attempt to sell me some utterly pointless assistance with my computer or phone issues. Today, I thought I'd return the call, but the number looked rather odd, so I decided to do a bit of research first. I'm rather pleased I did, as it could very well be a premium rate number. Honestly, these calls are becoming quite a blight on daily life.

Received a call from a woman of East Asian descent, likely Japanese, regarding a business line. I requested that she remove my details from her list. There was some whistling on the line, and then the call was cut off. My phone had been free for my own use for a bit afterwards.

I’ve had a few calls from an Asian gentleman claiming he’s from BT. When I pressed him about how he obtained my number, he repeatedly mentioned it was in their database. I ended up telling him to quit ringing me so early on weekends. He insisted it was the first time they’d reached out, but I had to correct him-it's actually been the eighth Saturday and Sunday in a row! I’m seriously considering getting in touch with BT to have this number blocked.

I keep gettin calls from this number but as soon as I pick up, they hang up straight away. I guess it could be because it’s a business line.
