I got a call from a bloke who sounded like he was Indian, said he was ringing on behalf of TalkTalk. When I cheekily asked if he was after my bank info and password, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who said he was from BT. I told him straight up he wasn't and hung up. But the cheeky bugger rang back the following day!

A woman with an Asian accent rang my wife saying she was calling from Microsoft and that something was wrong with our PC. My wife wasn’t convinced and refused their offer. Then, a few days later, an Asian man called pretending to be from the same lot. Again, my wife said no thanks and hung up. I’ve contacted Microsoft myself and they had no clue about any of it. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from this number on Monday afternoon around 4.09 and then again on Wednesday at 11.10. Each time, when I asked them to say who they were, they just hung up. I always do that with numbers I don’t know since they’re not in my contacts. Thing is, I’m on the TPS and I’ve got a blacklist service active too, so this really shouldn’t be happening. This site reckons it’s a well-known scammer, so it’s frustrating that calls like this still manage to slip through.

Got a call just after 9 this morning. At first, there was some noise in the background, then a guy with a thick Indian accent claimed he was from Microsoft and said he "knew" I was the primary user of my computer! Normally I’d just hang up on these, but felt a bit playful today so I cheekily played some tunes through my speaker next to the phone. He kept talking for a bit but eventually disappeared after a few minutes while I’d wandered off.

Received a call at an outrageous hour this morning claiming to be from Microsoft. I wouldn't be surprised if it’s another one of those scams rolling in from the Indian subcontinent.

So this bloke rings up claiming he's from Microsoft, right? I told him I actually work there and asked for his name and employee ID, saying I was gonna report him to the cops. Suddenly, he just hangs up! I was having a laugh keeping him chatting though. I’m sure they’ll be back on the blower sooner or later.

At about 7:10, my phone rang but I didn’t pick it up. When the answer machine kicked in, they just hung up. Then, nearly 10 minutes after, I got another call from the number "0131 204 8704". Did the same thing and didn’t answer again.

Got a call on my landline just before 8 in the morning. The woman said she was from Microsoft and kept going on about how my PC was hacked. She claimed all my files, photos and even my online banking were at risk. Quite worrying, but I wasn’t convinced.

Just after 7 in the morning I got a call from some bloke with an American accent. He kept going on about me having a computer but I don’t even own one. It was a bit creepy since he knew my name. I only picked up because I was worried about older family members. Definitely felt off.

This number rang us again today, even though I reported it yesterday. I told them to find a proper job, but they clearly didn’t listen. All we could hear was some noise in the background, and they ended the call before my husband had the chance to bore them with his usual long chat.

I got a call from a bloke claiming he was with Microsoft Windows, saying my licence number was involved in dodgy stuff like scams and gambling. To convince me, he told me he’d give me my licence number so I could check it on my PC. When I mentioned I was suspicious and thought it might be a scam, he suddenly got really pushy and even threatened to shut down my computer. I looked up the number he gave me - 01143283028 - and after hanging up on him, I dialled 1471 to see who called me back and found the real number was 02693494164. He wasn’t happy that I didn’t trust him one bit.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft, I told them I just use an iPad. The bloke then threatened to block my computer - what a prat! You’d think Microsoft would be on them for ruining their reputation like that.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had a security issue and needed shutting down straight away. It was only half past seven in the morning and I told him I wasn’t really up for that but he just kept going. I said I didn’t even own a computer, but he insisted there was one at my home address (which he wouldn’t say out loud). Still, I kept telling him no computer here, but he just went on about how urgent it was. Eventually, I hung up. Sounded like he was Indian or something. Is there no way to stop these calls?

Got a call from 02693494164 earlier today, 31/01/2018 just before midday at around 11.50. There was a weird pause after I answered, which usually means trouble. The guy claimed to be from Microsoft, but I quickly told him to jog on. Total scam attempt!

Got a call on my home phone at like 7.25 in the morning. The bloke said he was from Microsoft and there was something wrong with my PC. I told him straight away I don’t own a computer, so he tried with my laptop instead, but I said I don’t have one of those either. Then he just ended the call. He said his name was Edward, but I swear he had an accent that sounded more Chinese than anything.

I got a call from someone called Edward. After reading other comments, seems like it's a common name for scammers, mine sounded Indian though not Chinese. He claimed there was a serious security problem on my PC. I said we don’t actually own a computer. Then he said my hubby had signed up with Microsoft or something. When I asked him to give me my husband's name, he just hung up on me. I get that people need jobs but why don’t the authorities shut these scams down instead of annoying honest folks just trying to get on with their day?

Got a call at 7 in the morning from a supposed Bangladeshi call centre claiming my computer had some sort of problem. The woman on the line even ended up calling me an idiot a couple of times! I wasn’t having any of it and told her where to go in no uncertain terms. Pretty clear this was a scam. Honestly, if you get one of these calls, why not mess with them a bit and give them a taste of their own medicine?

This bloke kept threatening to call the police to my house just to intimidate me. He claimed his firm was located in Reading and tried having a go at me with insults. He shouted at me over the phone, but then suddenly switched to acting all sorry and understanding. Absolutely need to put a stop to these scammers!

They just won't stop calling, it’s the same number over and over and yes, they phoned again just now. Honestly, I’m about ready to lose it. I’ve asked them loads of times to take my details off their list but no luck at all. They keep telling me there’s a problem with my Microsoft software, but when I explain I’m actually using an Apple iPad, they don’t seem interested and hang up straight away. Plus, you can’t ring them back, which is super frustrating. Hope this warning helps someone. Oh gosh, gotta pick up, it’s ringing again! ????????

Got a call early this morning around 8.30 from a woman with quite a thick accent. She claimed there was an issue with my computer and kept mentioning something that sounded like ‘Microsoft’. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Had this call from some guy who said he was 'Patrick' working for Microsoft or sommat. Couldn't quite catch his accent, but he kept saying there was something wrong with my PC. Told him to jog on, that old trick's been around ages. Fair play to him, I reckon he’s trying his best but didn't get me today. Just hung up and got on with my day.
